sore throats

This is what I like about my job.

This morning one of my boys handed me a note, it said:

'Dear Ms Vincent

Nicholas has had a sore throat overnight. I have given him some throat lozenges and would be grateful if you could let him have them when he needs them.'

I said to Nicholas, 'okay, put them on my desk and you can have one at break and one at dinner' (which is the school rule). Nicholas looked at me and said, 'I can't'. I said 'why not'. He replied 'I already ate them.'
