My daughter is so sweet and so full of empathy. We are watching the news and she is crying. They are showing some people in a shelter in Kuwait, the point of the piece is that they are scared. Bex just said, what's the point of showing that to make us sympathetic when we are the ones scaring them in the first place. She then went on to say that no-one at school understands apart from one teacher. All her friends support the war, even Ellie tells her to shut up when she speaks about it. She is so upset about it and so critical of the stupidity of the leaders. She said her friend Katie has a pattern: each day she says three more dumb things than the day before.

Bex is a beautiful person. She makes me laugh and she makes me cry. I love her.
